I was first hired by Northern Bank and Trust to create executive headshot images of their management team. This was supposed to be for one department, just their sales team which comprised of about 50 people. They wanted to have a high quality consistent look for all their management team members, including the Board of Directors.  The family run bank has a long and impressive relationship within the local community, and they wanted images of their team that emphasized their knowledgeable and personable staff. 

This was not really a challenge, because, well, I employ a system to get things organized and right. My goal has always been to get these headshots executed in the most professional way without losing anyone’s time. And while this might be a challenge for some, my years of experience have meant that I have a system in place to get everyone’s photos done within the allotted time.

Process

With projects like these, I employ a simple and easy two step process to get people ready for great Boston business headshots. 

1. I offer an online calendar that individuals can use to book time. For cases such as these, when I have multiple executive headshots in a day, this is easy to do because everyone can choose times that work best for them. Plus, I send helpful tips beforehand to help people prepare for their shoots and break the nerves a bit.

2. A fast and easy photo shoot is one of my signature promises. I believe in working efficiently and quickly, and this in case, it was easier because I knew what was needed from these shots.

Knowing how the photos will be used makes it far easier to choose backgrounds and poses that will work best, and ensure everyone was comfortable throughout the process.

Solution

Because I understand the nature of the job, and the speediness needed to get everyone their finished product, I did not need to waste time. Within 24 hours of the headshot session, everyone received a link to a private web gallery with their respective images.

 

This allowed people to choose their executive headshots in their own privacy and comfort and decide on what worked best. All the images are full-resolution and available to download, so people got to have a wide selection. Those highlighted as favorites were the ones I retouched.

 

Within 48 hours after being notified of the chosen shots for retouching, the work was done! Individual links were sent so everyone could download their retouched headshot images,  and these were ready to be used in a variety of places. Everyone was able to access their photos, and start using them as needed.  Individuals can use them on his or her LinkedIn profiles, email signatures, and business cards.  The marketing department can use them on the bank’s web site, printed material, and annual reports.

Result

The ensuing results were incredibly successful. Firstly, the quick turnaround meant that the sales team did not have to wait too long to hit the ground running with their new executive headshots. Everyone had what they needed, and I made myself available for any last-minute questions or requests.

Secondly, thanks to the fast pace of the project, the sales team started seeing results instantaneously. They were able to update their social media profiles with high-quality, professional headshot photos that helped start conversations quicker. Plus, networking and conferences became better business development opportunities now that they had a great executive headshot to submit. 

Thirdly, other departments began seeing the value of executive headshots…especially how quickly sales was able to reap the benefits. I was able to create a consistent relationship with the organization to handle their ever-growing needs and changes.
